CHH Updates its Temporary Visitor Guidelines
As H1N1 FLU Virus Prevention 

The hospital’s temporary visitor guidelines are being adjusted in response to the current decline in FLU cases.    Effective December 30, 2009, children under 18 years of age are now being allowed to visit the hospital EXCEPT for the Maternity and Pediatric areas. Special arrangements can be made for siblings to visit these areas through the Maternity OB/GYN and Pediatric Units.

Northwest CT Cancer Care Support Group Seeking New Members

Torrington’s Center for Cancer Care is seeking new participants for its Northwest Connecticut Cancer Support group. Designed for cancer patients and their families, the group meets at The Center For Cancer Care, 200 Kennedy Drive, Torrington. For more information or to join the group, call 489-6718.



 
Tour of the Litchfield Hills Donate $88,000 to Center For Cancer Care Fund 

The northwest corner’s 6th Annual “Tour of the Litchfield Hills” Cycling Tour held August 2nd recently donated $88,000 raised at this year’s event to The Center for Cancer Care Fund, Inc., which provides financial assistance and community resources to help with the care, treatment, education and prevention of cancer for residents in Northwest Connecticut. Tour Co-Chairs presented the Board of Directors of The Center for Cancer Care Fund, Inc. with a check at a ceremony on October 14th.

The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Bereavement Council and Spiritual Care Department invites the public to attend a service of remembrance on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. at the hospital's Library Conference Room. These special services are opportunities for the people of our community to honor the losses in our lives and find comfort and peace in thier time of loss.
